Source of the idea
Claudia Sammer is Cool Companies’ founder, President and CEO.
Claudia likes innovative ideas that have the power to really make a big positive impact on people’s lives. So, she started her career trying to do just that as a physicist, and earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics and Applied Mathematics. Wanting to explore the world of innovation beyond the physics of Advanced Materials, Claudia left her Ph.D. work to do an M.B.A. in Innovation Management.
Claudia has built her career in strategic marketing and on the marketing side of new product development. In looking for career opportunities or entrepreneurial business partners, Claudia has always sought out innovative-thinking companies that were innovation leaders in their industry. Since this takes quite a bit of research and effort to do, the seed of Cool Companies was planted in her head, and it was an idea that wouldn’t go away; the result is Cool Companies Incorporated.
